Solar monitoring and performance review

We read your monitoring like contractors, not dashboards. A technician compares what your system actually produced against what it should have produced, then tells you in plain English whether anything deserves attention.

What we look at

More than a green light on an app

Monitoring portals are built to reassure. A contractor review is built to find what the portal glosses over.

Production vs weather adjusted expectation

We do not just compare this month to last month. We compare actual production against what a system of your size and orientation should have produced given the weather it actually received.

String and microinverter level detail

Where your equipment reports it, we look for underperforming strings, panels, and microinverters. A single lazy string can hide inside a healthy looking whole system number for years.

Alert triage

We sort real faults from noise: which alerts matter, which will clear on their own, and which genuinely need a technician on the roof. Most homeowners have no way to tell the difference.

A plain English report

You get a short written summary of what we found and what, if anything, to do about it. No jargon and no dashboard screenshots to decode. If a repair makes sense, we say so and quote it separately.

How it works

A remote review, done properly

The whole review happens over your monitoring platform. No truck in the driveway unless the findings call for one.

Request a review

Tell us what monitoring platform your system uses and, if you know it, who installed the system. We confirm compatibility before anything else.

Grant monitoring access

You share access through your monitoring platform, usually a guest login or a share invitation. We walk you through it if the portal is unfamiliar.

Contractor level review

A technician reviews production history, equipment level data, and open alerts against weather adjusted expectations for your array.

Report and next steps

You receive the written report. Anything that needs hands on attention gets a clear recommendation and is quoted separately, with office review before payment.

Compatible monitoring access is required. This review is performed remotely and depends on your monitoring platform reporting usable data. If your system has no working monitoring, start with our solar electric service for on site diagnostics or an upgrade consultation to modernize monitoring.

What do you need from me to run the review?

Compatible monitoring access. Most modern solar electric and battery systems report to an online portal, and most portals let you grant guest or shared access in a few minutes. Once we can see your production data, everything else happens on our side. We will confirm your platform is compatible before you commit to anything.

My installer closed and the monitoring portal went with them. Can you still help?

This is one of the most common situations we see with abandoned and orphan systems. Sometimes access can be recovered or transferred, and we will tell you if that is realistic for your equipment. When it cannot, an upgrade consultation covers modernizing monitoring, and our solar electric service can diagnose the system on site in the meantime. We service systems we did not install.

Is this review included in my membership?

Yes. Care Basic 2026 and above includes one remote monitoring and performance review each membership year when compatible monitoring access is available. Outside a membership, the review is offered at a fixed price approved with our office before work begins. Benefits are subject to the program terms, do not accumulate, and unused benefits have no cash value.
