Become an AllSolar service partner
Florida homeowners contact us every week about systems outside our 17 county service area. We would rather send them to a licensed, insured local business than leave them stranded. If that is you, we would like to hear from you.
Eight kinds of partner
Different businesses, different reasons a homeowner ends up needing you.
Solar contractors
Diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on systems from any original installer, including orphaned and abandoned ones.
Electrical contractors
Service panel work, interconnection, rapid shutdown, and the electrical half of a solar problem.
Roofers
Roof repair and replacement where solar has to come off and go back on, and the sequencing that needs.
Manufacturers
Equipment makers who want a competent Florida route for homeowner warranty and RMA cases.
Finance companies
Lenders and lease holders whose borrowers have systems nobody is servicing.
Realtors
Solar on a listing, at closing, or a transfer of ownership that never completed.
Home inspectors
Inspectors who need somebody qualified to look at the solar they flagged.
Insurance restoration
Storm and claim work where the solar has to be removed, assessed, and reinstated.
How referrals work
- A homeowner asks us for help. They arrive through our statewide support pages, or they call the office.
- We try remote first. A good share of these turn out to be a monitoring or communication problem that does not need anybody onsite, and we resolve those ourselves.
- If it needs hands, and they are outside our 17 counties, we ask the homeowner whether they want us to pass the request to an independent provider. If they say no, nothing goes anywhere.
- We send you the request. ZIP code, system category, what is needed, and their contact details, along with anything useful we established remotely.
- You accept or decline. Either is fine and we track both, so we can see who is actually covering which counties.
- You deal directly with the homeowner from that point: your quote, your schedule, your contract, your warranty.
- We record the outcome and follow up with the homeowner about how it went.
Who controls what
Referral relationships go wrong when nobody wrote this down. So here it is.
You control
- Your own prices
- Your availability
- Your scope of work
- Your scheduling
- Your own warranties
- Your contract with the homeowner
- Whether you take any given referral at all
What a referral is not
- You are not an AllSolar employee
- You are not an AllSolar agent
- You are not an AllSolar subcontractor
- You are not an AllSolar Cares benefit provider
- AllSolar Cares benefits do not apply to your work
- AllSolar pricing, credits, priority and warranties do not extend to your work
What we share, and what has to happen first
Customer authorization comes first, always. Nothing about a homeowner reaches a provider unless that homeowner has explicitly authorized it, on a form that says in plain language what the provider is and is not. We keep a record of the exact wording they agreed to.
What may be shared with an accepting provider: the property ZIP code, the system category, the work needed, the homeowner's description of the problem, their contact details and preferred contact method, and anything relevant we established remotely, such as error history or equipment details.
What is never shared: monitoring credentials of any kind, payment details, financing documents, and anything a homeowner gave us for a different purpose.
Business relationships are disclosed. If we have a commercial relationship with a provider that could affect which one a homeowner hears about, we disclose it to that homeowner at the time of the referral. We are not going to run undisclosed paid placement.
What we review, and keep reviewing
Nothing about an applicant is public and no homeowner reaches them until a person has checked all four of these.
Licensing
Florida license numbers and categories, reviewed against the work you say you do.
Insurance
Current general liability and workers compensation documentation, with the expiry date on record.
Service territory
The counties you genuinely cover, rather than the counties you would like to cover.
Business status
An active, real Florida business entity that is who it says it is.
Apply to become a service partner
The application asks about your licensing, insurance, territory, and capabilities. It takes about ten minutes and a person reads every one.
Every homeowner you send us gets a free Solar Home
Your free Solar Home account keeps your equipment, warranties, monitoring, documents, appointments, and service history in one secure place. AllSolar Cares adds ongoing support, monitoring, inspections, member pricing, and a licensed Florida contractor that can actually fix the problem.
Solar Home is free for every Florida homeowner. AllSolar Cares memberships and onsite membership benefits are available for eligible properties in our 17 county service area. Outside those counties we offer professional remote solar support statewide.
